This event has now passed.

Aged 16-25 and interested in a career leading the arts? Join our Future Trustees Training Day and get experience sitting on the board of local organisations.

This creative workshop in Warwick in December will give young people the skills and confidence to become the future leaders and trustees of the arts industry.

A trustee is someone who collaborates with a team of others to oversee and develop a charitable organisation. The exact set of tasks varies by organisations, but will always include regular meetings to hear about what the organisation is up to and discuss the right approach for big decisions.

The free training day, run by Upstart Projects, will give young people board member experience with local organisations such as Compton Verney, Warwickshire Open StudiosWarwickshire Music Hub and Art in the Park.

You will take part in hands-on workshops, giving you real, practical experience of making decisions and having a voice within business and the arts.

The event is perfect for students with career ambitions in music, dance, theatre and visual arts, but is also relevant for any young people looking to add to their CV or learn new managerial skills for any job or apprenticeship.

Come and be the next generation of artistic leaders!

The event takes place on Saturday 3rd December in Warwick. Full details will be provided once you have registered. The training day will also be followed by online monthly support calls and regular meetings.

This opportunity is free but you must register in advance via the online form – register by 26th November at the latest. Limited places available.
