Not long to go until our Arts Careers Fairs in Nuneaton and Stratford-upon-Avon. In advance of the event, we want to introduce you to the artists, professionals and companies who you will meet on the day.

Jessica Hartshorn

Illustrator Jessica Hartshorn (Jessi Illustrates) is based in Rugby and creates a range of vibrant and colourful artworks, bringing stories to life.
She works as a freelance illustrator, artist and community practitioner with over 19 years’ experience advocating for arts education. She has a particular focus on working with families, older adults and community groups.
Her practice is divided between illustration commissions and art education delivery and projects, focusing on core drawing and painting skills and crafts, developing these into something more playful, focusing on narrative.
Jessica creates artwork for family trails, maps, interpretation, and education resources, in addition to children’s books and murals.
Past clients include National Paralympic Heritage Trust, Nuneaton Museum and Art Gallery, Historic England, World Golf Museum, Gunnersbury Park and Museum, The British Motor Museum, Delapre Abbey, Sporting Heritage, Carlisle Cathedral, Wolverhampton Art Gallery and Museum and Ladbroke Heritage.

What to expect at the fairs
“At the fairs I will have a stall and will be bringing a range of examples of my illustration work to talk about,” Jessica says. “I will be happy to discuss my career path and signpost to different opportunities and training. At Stratford-upon-Avon, I will also be running a creative feedback activity.”
