Our Arts Ambassadors have been busy!

Our Programme Manager Amy has had a busy few months working in schools with Shout Out for the Arts Ambassadors all over Warwickshire. She tells us how their exciting arts projects are coming along.

A group of young people from the Claremont Youth Hub are planning to run workshops on gender identity – the whole process culminating in a gallery trip this year to carry on the reflections on this theme together.

I had a great session with the students at Moreton Morrell College (WCG) in November – they are planning an art exhibition in April that will include photography.

Avon Valley School continue to produce their mini plays with a plan to tour them locally, and they meet on a weekly basis.

10 year 10 students at Kineton High School are working on their designs for a mural. They workshop again with their professional artist in March where they will create the final product together.

Young people at Wolvey Primary School led an assembly recently to advocate for the arts space they wanted. There is now a planned gallery event to be held at the end of the academic year.

Heathote Primary School ambassadors are full steam ahead for their arts fair. A different artist will be working with each year group and on 3rd March they will share their new skills and creations in a large community showcase.

I have been so impressed by all of their hard work and can’t wait to see what they get up to in the next few months!
