Local event creates board members of the future
An amazing opportunity is being offered to those aged 16-25 in Warwickshire to give them experience of sitting on the board of local organisations.
This creative workshop in December will give young people the skills and confidence to become the future leaders and trustees of the arts industry.
The free training day will lead to board experience with the likes of Warwickshire Open Studios, Warwickshire Music Hub and Art in the Park Festival Leamington.
The programme aims to give young people real, practical experience of making decisions and having a voice within business and the arts.
The event is perfect for students with career ambitions in music, dance, theatre and visual arts, but is also relevant for any young people looking to add to their CV or learn new managerial skills for any job or apprenticeship.
This initiative is part of Shout Out for the Arts Warwickshire which is working with local children and organisations to ensure that young people have a voice in the arts.
The programme is free, travel costs are funded and there is limited space for new attendees to join.
Young people can sign up in advance, before 26th November, by visiting shoutoutforthearts.co.uk
